As teachers, we all know how time consuming it is to plan for differentiated instruction. When I was creating my Manifest Destiny and the Acquisition of Land differentiated instruction lesson plan, I came across two websites that were perfect for differentiated instruction for a middle school classroom.
Both of the websites are a part of the national geographic site. One is perfect for enriching the content because it provides primary source documents of Lewis and Clark‘s journals. The other is perfect for a basic version because it simplifies the events in a game format. I went through both of the sites and created a Lewis and Clark differentiated instruction webquest. I can’t wait to use this in class.
The enriched link is: http://www.nationalgeographic.com/lewisandclark/journey_intro.html
The basic link is: http://www.nationalgeographic.com/west/
