What is the spatial learning style?

The spatial learning style is a style of learning based on the multiple intelligence theory by Dr. Howard Gardner. One of the multiple intelligences is spatial intelligence. The people who have a spatial learning style are visual learners. They learn best by seeing or creating visuals. People with a spatial learning style see the end product unlike those with a logical learning style who see steps. This learning style can be used often in classes like science and social studies to differentiate instruction in both mini-lessons and activities or work sessions. When studying, a mnemonic roman room might work well to remember content. When students with the spatial learning style read and write they visualize the events. This helps make the content much more meaningful and interesting for them. When learning content, those with the spatial learning style, appreciate things like diagrams, pictures, cartoons and other visuals.
